The Journey of Life

Before our souls set off for an Earthly life, we are filled with promise and hope for the journey ahead. We understand that there will be many challenges, many triumphs, and many glimmers from The Spirit World to guide us on our way. Then we emerge from our mother, and the journey begins.

In youth, our Guides are near and our hope and faith in the magic of creation lives within our heart and soul. With time, our memory of home begins to fade as we blend with the customs of the Earth plane. As the years pass by, we may forget our true home all together. This is a sign of full integration.

Although full integration is often the goal, earthly success rarely satisfies us for long. The empty feeling begins in a subtle way, a gentle sense that something is missing. With time that feeling grows, and the search begins. Some search out in the world, and others within themselves. Some don't search at all, simply filling the void with temporary earthly delights.

The lucky among us do search and we discover some remanence - some reflection, however small, - of the love that flows forth from our true home. This is when our awakening begins. Awakening, though often sought, is afforded only to those souls who are truly ready. For in remembering, there is longing, and in longing there is often pain...pain with hope, and hope with faith.

If we are lucky, there is faith - an everlasting knowing that we are, and will always be, an eternal soul, untouched, undamaged, by the density of incarnation itself and always and forever, loved, supported, guided and encouraged as we journey through life.

May we be, forever blessed.

On Manifestation

Manifestation is often touted as a mystical process, when in fact it is quite natural to our experience as human (and spiritual) beings. You manifested this moment, the discovery of this post, the feeling in your heart at this instant. You are a master of manifestation.

My intention for this post is to take the wisdom of the manifestation process from the subconscious awareness, and bring it into to the awareness of your conscious mind. I will do so by outlining the manifestation process into five steps, based on my experience.

Step 1: Determine your true hearts desire.
The desire of your heart will not be a physical form (such as a person, a home, a car, etc). The desire of your heart will be a feeling. If you think your heart's desire is something physical...ask yourself, how does having this person/thing make me feel? Then acknowledge the feeling as your true heart's desire.

Step 2: Make time, each day, to feel the feeling of your true heart's desire.
The more you allow yourself to feel this feeling, the stronger your manifestation power. If you would like to have the best day of your life, try feeling your chosen feeling for the entire day.

Step 3: Follow the action step(s) guided by your heart's longing.
As you feel your heart's most desired feeling, you will likely feel guided to say/do/experience something new, something that's in alignment with your new feeling. Do not hesitate to take the action indicated by your heart. If you experience a pull to go to a certain location, for example, go without question! Just be sure that your action steps are guided by your heart (not your head). How will you know the difference? Action steps guided by your heart will evoke a childlike bliss- you'll do them because of the sheer joy they give you, rather than because of an anticipated outcome. If you find yourself thinking "I must do this, so that this happens," than you're listening to your head, not your heart.

Step 4: Receive with open arms.
Everything that comes to you now is a gift. Celebrate all that occurs as your reality shifts around you.

Step 5: Have gratitude and appreciation for the abundance in your life.
At this point, your highest manifestation will have arrived. It may not have taken the form that your mind expected- it will likely be even better, as it will have taken the form your HEART desired.

Happy Manifesting.
With Great Love,

Some Thoughts on True Healing...

My spiritual journey has taught me more about healing than I ever thought possible.

I used to think of healing as a simple, linear, process. I thought that healing the body was as simple as diagnosing an illness and then taking the right drug. After all, this is how society teaches us to "heal."

It took me a quarter of a century to learn the truth... that healing is often complex  that the healing process is rarely linear  and that when we put our focus on treating symptoms, we almost never heal the source of our disease.

I went to many doctors throughout my childhood, but I was almost 25 years-old before I ever sat down with a true healer. When I finally met my first spiritual healer I explained my symptoms and then immediately asked what I believed to be thoughtful question at the time.

I took a deep breath and said, "do you think this is a physical illness, or a spiritual illness?"

When the healer replied saying, "all illnesses are spiritual illnesses," my heart sank.

It wasn't easy for me to face the truth...I didn't want to face the fact that I wasn't sick because my body betrayed me, I was sick because I had ignored the longings of my soul.

I actively resisted this realization. In fact, it took me almost a year to accept that there is no such thing as a purely physical illness...that all illnesses are manifestations of mental and emotional imbalances. I have since embraced the fact that dis-ease originates at the mental/emotional level and works its way down.

I have also come to embrace the truth that our body is a system intentionally designed to heal itself in totality and that, because of this, it is impossible to heal one ailment completely without healing every ailment completely. This has proven true with the body, and I believe it is true within our emotional sphere as well.

Have you ever gotten emotionally upset about one thing...say a bad break up, or the death of a loved one...only to realize that, when you attempt to explore and heal your sadness, you seem to revisit sadness and upset from all throughout your life? It seems to me that the heart doesn't discriminate...it seems that our heart holds on to every experience that needs healing and then patiently waits for us to initiate the healing process.

I suspect that, like physical pains, subtle emotional pains are an early warning sign from our etheric body that healing is needed. How many of us enthusiastically take these signs to heart?

What I have realized recently is that — whether it is in the realm of the body, or the realm of the heart many of us never initiate the healing process. Most people get through life by treating the symptoms without ever inviting true healing to occur. This, to me, is deeply saddening.

I wish every person who has ever experienced dis-ease could also experience true healing. I wish this because I know that healing is an important part of the human experience and I sense that we are all meant to be awed by the miraculous nature of true healing.

My first true healing experience happened by accident. After a year of tests, surgeries, and "treatments" I was so fed-up with the failure of Western medicine that I decided to do my own research. This research led me into a three-month detoxification regiment of coffee enemas and raw food.

What happened next shocked me. For the first three days I felt incredible. On day four I began to feel worse than I ever had before... my lymph nodes became painful and swollen; I got a fever; I had a massive headache; and every bone and muscle in body ached with terrible pain. I could hardly muster the energy to walk and I sweat so much during the night that I could wring-out my sheets.

My symptoms were so bad that I thought I might be dying... but after a couple of days it became clear that I wasn't dying, I was healing!! I was experiencing a phenomenon that experts call a "healing crisis," which is a profound experience that occurs when your body gathers enough strength to activate powerful healing channels and to move from managing day-to-day maintenance to eradicating long standing traumas.

What surprised me most was that my healing crisis wasn't just physical, it was also emotional. I found myself releasing almost as much emotional toxicity as physical toxicity... It is a toss up whether I was sweating more, or crying more. This was all the confirmation I needed to know that the healer was right..."all illness is spiritual illness." Releasing the physical illness required me to release the spiritual and emotional pain that created it.

Although it was scary, I quickly learned that the more I trusted the process and allowed the emotional pain and physical illness to move through me, the better I felt. I emerged from that healing crisis, ten days later, with a profound respect for the built-in healing mechanisms of the body and mind.

I also emerged with the understanding that my being had been waiting for me to initiate my healing for a very long time. I suspect that many of us have bodies and hearts that are patiently waiting for us to take some action that will activate our miraculous inner-healing mechanisms.

It seems that our healing mechanisms can be activated by physical detoxification, by a willingness to face our emotional pain, and by many other means... But, no matter which route we take, it seems pertinent that we invite true healing.

Looking back, my only regret about my path to true healing is that I waited so long to start it. I wish I would have spent less time running from my own pain more time letting my pain be my guide.

If you desire true healing (I hope you do) my best advice is this...embrace your pain and let it serve as your inspiration to ignite your miraculous healing power. Your body, your heart, mind, and your soul will thank you.

With Great Love,
Maya

REmember and REveal during Mercury REtrograde!

This article was written by guest writer Vanessa Quintero.

We may be taking different roads, but they all lead to the same place...home.
What do I mean by home?
Not necessarily a physical place- but rather a feeling, a vibration.
It is vibration of All That Is...The vibration that represents our truth.
There is a way to free our souls- to liberate us in a way that empowers us to truly live.
No- it doesn’t involve fixing or learning anything.
In fact, it is the opposite.
It is the unlearning of everything that is not truth.
It is the unmasking.
It is the undoing.
It is the revealing, the remembering.
"Remembering what," you may ask? Remembering that we are powerful creators... remembering that we were designed to create with our thoughts. What if we used the creative powers of our thoughts to re-define truth?

What if we allowed truth to mean "only the thoughts that feel good to us" and then gave ourselves permission release all else...to let go of all the thoughts that do not feel good to our soul? Take a moment to imagine what we could create by giving power to only the thoughts that make us feel good!

There is a reason we feel worry, sadness, and angst when we choose to listen to our ego. It is because the ego is telling us messages that are not true for our soul.

Our ego tells us that we "are not enough," when our soul knows that being "not enough" is impossible...that we always have been, and always will be, perfect divine beings.

The best way to move beyond the ego's illusions is to simply shine the light that is inside of us. When we want light in a dark room, we do nothing with the darkness; we simply turn the light switch on....because inside we know that darkness is nothing more than the absence of light. It is not real, it is simply a projection. Darkness is, in so many ways, just another illusion of the ego.

We are here to extend the light that we are, not to project the illusions that the ego makes us perceive. We can do this by focusing,
everyday, on what makes us feel good. Do not worry about the things that make you feel anything less than great. Do not even allow room in for those thoughts. Understand, when you are vibrating at a level of love and Divine Light, you are simply not a match for the beliefs that vibrates at anything lower.

Think of the words DIS-ease and DIS-order. These are ways that our body reacts to thoughts and behaviors that are dis-aligned with the powerful truth of our soul. When we are are experiencing disease and disorder, it is time to take a look at what we believe to be true.
We only give power to our thoughts when we tell ourselves that they are true — it is time to realize that not all of the thoughts you think have to be believed.  If it feels good, it is truth. If it produces a reaction that does not feel good, it an illusion.
So what should we do when we have thoughts that feel less than good?
  1. Feel your emotions, cradle them, tend to them... do this for a small amount of time only. Then declare, “I will begin to release this thought that no longer serves my well being.”
  2. Assess the belief attached to that thought. Is the belief really true? (Probably not!)
  3. Then reprogram your mind to a new belief that serves you and produces relief.
  4. Hold space, patience, and light for yourself. Forgive and remind yourself that this doesn’t have to be hard, but it can take a bit of time.
Shifting your mind is possible. After all, it is your birthright to feel good and produce a reality that you enjoy...Remember, you do not have the light within you, you are the light.

If you need an affirmation to help you embrace this truth, I suggest this one: "I am in the process of remembering my Divine birthright to feel good and vibrate higher than the illusions that the ego produces."

So much love and light to you all!
